The Thankful Month

Will you look at that!? Here it is – almost the first of November, and it’s been officially fall for a good six weeks now. The weather here in Iowa has been gorgeous, the guys have put in some really good (and long) days in the field, and Thanksgiving is fast approaching.

In honor of the month of November, which boasts a most wonderful holiday, I'd like to encourage all of you to join me for the 2nd Annual Giving Thanks Challenge! All you have to do is post one thing you're thankful for each day somewhere on your blog. It doesn't even have to be an actual thought-out post. Just start making a list on your sidebar - somewhere you can see it every day to encourage an attitude of thankfulness.

Wanna join me? Here's the scoop:

Grab the button. Copy the code under the button in my sidebar and paste it into an HTML Java Script element on your own sidebar to let all your friends know you're joining in. This is a great way to encourage your own readers to begin as well - to develop a more thankful heart.

Sign in with Mr. Linky. Leave your first name and blog address below and I'll swing by your place now and then to see how your list is growing. A quick matter of housekeeping - please just leave your first name. "Sally @ Momma to Tom, Dick and Harry" is just too long to fit on one line. =)

It doesn't matter if you start now, November 1st, or sometime mid-month. It's never too late to acknowledge God's love for you and His faithfulness to you!

Happy November!

This couldn't have come at a better time. Our teenage son's girlfriend was attacked and raped. He's been having a difficult time dealing with his emotion. My husband and I's hearts are heavy because we cannot kiss and make his and her pain go away.
This is a time when the Lord helps you get through trials and difficulties.
Thanks you for your dedication!

Hi, I don't proclaim to be great at giving thanks...but my blog title is my 'lame' attempt at it. I may not write out something every day, but I am reminded each time I post on my blog to be thankful. I like the concept of this November 'challenge'...we should keep that up all year long, not just at Thanksgiving:)
(As I said, I don't do it often enough, and I need all the reminders I can get:) Jan
